You keep your eyes on the spot where you're sure you saw something as you walk, worried you'll lose the mark. You can see its a keychain and make a mental note to consider applying to detective school when you get home. This lasts only a second as you realize you're not really solving clues left by a mastermind serial killer, but by your own dumb drunk ass. Your self esteem sinks again when you see that the keys aren't yours. Actually it looks like it belongs to a kid - there's one giant key that looks like it opens a dungeon in a cartoon, attached to a plastic keychain in the shape of a shark. The words on the back are faded but you make out "New Aqua Cam." You flip the shark over and see the name "DEXTER" printed on the other side. You think Dexter is a weird name to be pre-printed on what is clearly a gift shop knick-knack, but whatever. The key is pointed in the same general direction you've been walking. You look over your shoulder and can still see the "Welcome to New Jersey" sign.
